Why Poland?

Land of living customs
Poland is a country situated at the very heart of Europe, which history dates back over a thousand years. It's geographical location and the character of its people - open and interested in novelties, has ensured that the national culture has evolved under the influence of both Eastern and Western worlds.

Poland's turbulent history is a chronicle not only of devastating wars and partitions, but also of interpenetrating cultural trends. Polish traditions, customs and monuments show the clear interlacing of cultures and communities that have crossed its territory throughout the years: Jewish, Tatar, Italian, German, Austrian, Russian, Ukrainian, Latvian, and Belarusian.

As a consequence of all these circumstances nowadays in Poland you can admire historical sites that are often the most outstanding examples of various European architectural styles. However, Poland is more than just a set of old buildings - it has a rich and fascinating culture - deriving from constant clash of Eastern and Western worlds - cherished traditions and living folk customs.

Let me - before I leave...
look once more at Krakow, the Krakow where every stone and every brick is dear to me and I will look from here at Poland...
